About Meyosophy

Hi, I’m Lianne and I’m so glad you’re here!

Meyosophy is a cozy corner of the internet where I talk about mental health in a way that’s both personal and science-informed. It’s where self-awareness meets curiosity, and where learning about your brain doesn’t feel like sitting in a classroom.

Mental health isn’t just about diagnoses or therapy (though those can be important). It’s also about understanding how your thoughts, hormones, gut, habits, stories and nervous system all interact and what that means for your day-to-day life.

What You’ll Find Here

At Meyosophy, I write about:

  • The psychology and neuroscience behind emotions and behavior
  • How anxiety, overthinking and low energy show up in real life
  • The mind-body connection: from gut to hormones to sleep
  • Tools that actually help (like mindfulness, movement, journaling & grounding)
  • My own journey with mental health and healing

Why I Started Meyosophy

For as long as I can remember, I’ve been fascinated by the mind. Why do people do the things they do? Why do we feel how we feel? I’ve dealt with anxiety, depression, panic attacks, derealisation/ depersonalisation, low energy, overthinking and emotional dysregulation, and I know how lonely that can feel. When this happened to me I felt helpless. Like something was broken, like I was broken. Pushing my feelings away no longer worked and I had to face everything that was bellow the surface.

I’ve spent years gathering information, tools, and insights. But more than that: I’ve spent years trying to figure out how to feel more like myself. Because I felt so misunderstood, so unseen. That’s why I read the books, researched while anxiety was taking over me and took courses, all to find understanding. I’ll never be done learning, but it is time to share what I know. To educate people going through- or people who love someone who is dealing with all of this.

This blog is a way to bring two worlds together:

Lived experience + evidence-based knowledge.

I don’t believe in quick fixes. I believe in soft landings. I believe healing is messy, nonlinear and human. And I believe that when we understand ourselves better, we care for ourselves better and that changes everything.

My hope for you

I hope you’ll find things here that help you feel seen, soothed and supported.

That you’ll learn something that makes a lightbulb go off.

That you’ll walk away from a post thinking: “Oh, I’m not broken, I’m just human.”

And most of all, I hope you leave with tools you can actually use, whether you’re trying to sleep better, stop overthinking, or reconnect with yourself after a rough week. Whatever it may be, I hope you’ll find something you need here.

Let’s stay connected 💛
